Michelle Barroca, B.A., M.A.S.
About Michelle
Michelle is the principal of FY Information Management Consulting. She has a Master of Archival Studies degree from the University of British Columbia and more than two decades of experience developing and implementing corporate records management programs, information and privacy programs, and archives programs in public and private sector organizations. Michelle worked in local government as a Records Manager, Freedom of Information Coordinator, and Archivist for 8 years before returning to the Kootenays and establishing FY Information Management Consulting. Since 2009, Michelle has been providing consulting services to local and regional governments, Crown corporations, First Nations organizations, and not-for-profit organizations in BC and Yukon. Michelle takes great pride in the fact that the majority of her clients have been referred to her from previous clients.
Michelle is a long-standing member of the Archives Association of BC (AABC) and ARMA International (Vancouver Chapter). She has been a speaker at events hosted by the AABC, ARMA Canada, ARMA Vancouver Chapter, and the Yukon Council of Archives. She is also a facilitator with the First Nations Public Service Secretariat.
